Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Zach Davies once again failed to go five innings in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Colorado Rockies. The veteran went 4 2/3 innings and allowed three hits, two runs, one walk and struck out six. Davies has had a rough season for the Cubs and his inability to go deep into games with a low strikeout rate has made him expendable in all formats.
