Yu Darvish pitched brilliantly against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing no runs and seven hits in 8 1/3 innings of work. Darvish fanned a career-high 10 batters and walked just two in the game. He had to pitch out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the third inning, but that was the only time the Yankees would threaten on the night. The Japanese right-hander now sits at 3-0 with a 2.42 ERA on the season and appears to be getting stronger with each start as he settles in to major league life. He'll look to continue his dominance when he faces the Blue Jays in Toronto next week.
