Yu Darvish matched his career high with 14 strikeouts over seven scoreless innings Thursday in a victory over the Diamondbacks. It was actually a little bit of a letdown, given that he had 10 strikeouts after four and 14 strikeouts after six. However, after he went K-less in the seventh inning, the Rangers had absolutely no reason to push him further in a 7-0 game. Darvish allowed five hits and walked none while throwing 111 pitches. He's had four 14-K games this season, and he's reached double figures eight times.
