Young lost a starting gig with the Braves due to his poor production at the plate (.169/.229/.273 batting line over 35 games), and now has lost his 25-man roster spot with the club. If he goes through waivers unclaimed, it's possible he'll accept an assignment to the minors and hope for another shot.
