Yonder Alonso is batting .316/.371/.502 with eight homers and 39 RBI over 247 at-bats this season for Triple-A Louisville. Alonso is still learning the ins and outs of playing left field, as he's considered, to put it nicely, a minus defender there. But, his bat will carry him, and he's hitting well enough that the Reds might be willing to deal with shoddy outfield defense. Cincinnati hasn't gotten much production from left field this season and could give Alonso a shot at regular playing time at some point.
