Yonder Alonso (hand) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tucson Monday. Alonso was cleared to return to game action after taking batting practice over the weekend with no issues. Barring a setback, he seems likely to rejoin the Padres' lineup by this weekend. The first baseman has been out since June 6 with a fractured right hand.
