Yonder Alonso had a solid night at the plate as the Padres were shutout by the Braves on Tuesday, going 2-for-4. On a night where the Padres offense couldn't get anything going against Tim Hudson and company, Alonso had the only multi-hit effort. While the power hasn't developed as quickly as expected, he's having a decent rookie season with the bat, hitting .276 with six homers and 42 RBI while holding down his first full-time role.
