Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (back) is not expected to start a rehab assignment during the team's current homestand. Moncada has a protruding disc that is touching a nerve, causing pain to run into his glutes. The good news is that it is improving and shouldn't need surgery to fix, according to general manager Rick Hahn. While there is still no timetable for his return, if he's able to start his rehab assignment next week, he could be back in mid-May.
