Yankees recalled OF Justin Maxwell from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre; placed him on the 60-day disabled list. The Yankees made the move to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. It also gives them more flexibility for their postseason roster. Maxwell, 27, is out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum in his shoulder.
