Yankees purchased the contract of INF Jayson Nix from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. With Eric Chavez ailing, the Yanks needed to add some emergency infield depth. Nix was batting .233/.314/.367 at the Triple-A level. He won't carry any fantasy value.
