Yankees placed RHP David Aardsma on the 60-day disabled list with an elbow injury. The move was made in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Eric Chavez. Aardsma, who signed with the Yankees last week, is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and could be a factor during the second half of the season.
