Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Friday that Mark Teixeira (hamstring) is likely to be activated from the disabled list prior to May 1. The veteran slugger is recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain that he suffered chasing down a foul pop up last week. Before hitting the DL, he was hitting .250/.308/.250 with two RBI in his first 12 at-bats.
