Yankees general manager Brian Cashman think it's realistic Ivan Nova (shoulder) could return from the disabled list in mid-September. Nova was placed on the disabled list last week due to right rotator cuff inflammation, but he's already close to resuming a throwing program. He could make progress quickly if there are no setbacks. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 4.92 ERA and 139/50 K/BB ratio over 157 1/3 innings over 25 starts this season.
