Yankees and INF Jayson Nix avoided arbitration by agreeing to a contract. No word yet on the exact terms, but it doesn't figure to be for much, as Nix was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. The 30-year-old batted .243/.306/.384 with four homers and a .690 OPS in 74 games with the Bombers this past season and will likely function as a backup infielder again next season.
