Yankees acquired RHP Shawn Kelley from the Mariners in exchange for OF Abraham Almonte. Kelley had been designated for assignment last week. The right-hander is signed cheaply at $935,000 and put up a 3.25 ERA and 45/15 K/BB ratio over 44 1/3 innings last year for the M's. He'll work the middle innings with the Yankees.
