Wright was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday, Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports. The knuckleballer has picked up a couple wins since moving to the bullpen earlier this month, but he's been generally ineffective, posting a 4.43 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in seven appearances (20.1 innings). By comparison, he had a 3.91 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in four starts (23 innings). Justin Masterson (shoulder) was activated and will serve as the long man moving forward.
