Workman (elbow) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Workman is still recovering from Tommy John surgery last June, and is a top candidate to move to the 60-day DL if and when the Red Sox need to open up a 40-man roster spot. Don't expect him to rejoin the Red Sox until deep in the second half of the campaign.
