Workman (elbow) received a platelet-rich plasma injection Wednesday, the Boston Globe reports. Workman met with Dr. James Andrews and has apparently avoided Tommy John surgery for now. Manager John Farrell said they'll wait to see how the PRP injection goes and there's no timetable for Workman to begin a throwing program.
