Workman (elbow) is recovering well from Tommy John surgery and is aiming to return to game action in the second half of the season, Tim Bitton of The Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Workman underwent Tommy John surgery in June, so the earliest he could return in all likelihood would be sometime after the All Star break provided that he continues to recover without any setbacks. There is no word yet on when he'll resume throwing, but when healthy, he could provide bullpen depth for the Red Sox down the stretch.
