Workman (elbow) has resume playing catch, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports. Workman opted to go the rest and rehab route to treat a right elbow strain, which forced him onto the DL at Triple-A Pawtucket in mid-April. He said after playing catch that the platelet-rich plasma injection he received has helped, but Workman still has a fairly long way to go before he's cleared to return to the bullpen at Pawtucket.
