Workman allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five in seven innings in Monday night's loss to the Angels. An encouraging sign for the 25-year-old right-hander, who had a 6.35 ERA in his previous five starts. Workman had been skipped one start in order to give his arm a break and it appears to have made a difference. He was in control and looked much more comfortable, throwing 59 of his 89 pitches for strikes.
