Wisler was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Called up from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday to make his first start of the season for the Braves in the second game of a twin bill with the Mets, Wisler was able to effectively eat some innings for the big club. He conceded four runs on six hits and three walks in the outing, but covered six frames and struck out seven batters along the way. Unfortunately for Wisler, fellow Triple-A call-up Sean Newcomb outperformed him while starting the first game of the doubleheader, and will have the opportunity to stick around as the club's fifth starter while Bartolo Colon (oblique) remains on the disabled list. Expect Wisler to reclaim a spot in the rotation at Gwinnett, with whom he's posted a 5.01 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 41.1 innings this season.
