Wilson twirled a gem in his first start of the season Tuesday, holding the Mariners scoreless for eight innings en route to a victory. Wilson, who walked one and struck out two in the contest, looked like a new man on the mound Tuesday, as he was able to get through eight frames with just 96 pitches, throwing 63 of them for strikes. Wilson was hurt by the free pass last season, allowing 85 walks in 175.2 innings, but if the 33-year-old is focusing on pounding the zone and being more efficient, he could be worth monitoring going forward.
