Wieters (elbow) took the field with the other catchers for a workout before batting practice Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wieters is expected to begin the season on the disabled list at this point, but a workout marks some progress in his recovery. While no timetable is in place at this point, his status should continue to be monitored as the regular season draws near in case something changes.
