Whitley (elbow) continued to roll through his rehab appearances, firing three no-hit innings for Double-A Montgomery against Pensacola on Saturday. He walked one but struk out five.
EDGE Analysis
Whitley looked considerably impressive while missing plenty of bats, and got 21 of his 34 pitches into the strike zone. The 27-year-old has been stellar through his first three rehab outings, allowing just two hits over six innings of scoreless ball, while sriking out nine. He's ramped up his workload by both inning and pitch count in each successive appearance, and appears to have emerged from Saturday's outing setback-free.
