White Sox signed RHP Chien-Ming Wang to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte. Wang opted out of his minor league contract with the Reds on July 13 after posting a 3.70 ERA in 119 1/3 innings at Triple-A Louisville. The 34-year-old right-hander could get a look at some point in Chicago.
