White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said following Wednesday's game that he doesn't expect Carlos Quentin (shoulder) to play this weekend against the Mariners. Quentin hasn't played since spraining the AC joint in his left shoulder while making a tumbling catch on Saturday. However, the White Sox are reluctant to place Quentin on the disabled list because it would rule him out for a series against the first-place Tigers from September 2-4. Alejandro De Aza has been playing right field during his absence, but one possible replacement in the minors is top prospect Dayan Viciedo. The Cuban defector is batting .298/.365/.488 with 19 homers and an .852 OPS over 499 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte this season.
