Kansas City Royals second baseman Whit Merrifield had a phenomenal opening series against the Texas Rangers. Over 14 plate appearances, he slashed .462/.467/1.000 with two home runs, a double, six RBI and four runs. Merrifield clearly didn't need to shake off any rust to kick off the 2021 season.
