While Beltran has continued his throwing program, Yankees manager Joe Girardi suggested they won't rush to play him in the outfield. "He definitely feels better," said Girardi. "But with the flexibility we've got with [Martin] Prado, you feel less of a rush. We feel that we're OK, and it's subject to change, but we'll see what happens." The Yankees have no more road interleague games remaining, so from a practical standpoint the Yankees can just use Beltran at DH the rest of the season. It just limits their ability to play other hitters at DH.
