Wei-Yin Chen blanked the Red Sox for seven innings Wednesday, combining with Darren O'Day and Zach Britton on a four-hit shutout. If there's any good news for the Red Sox, it's that they somehow salvaged a game during a three-game series in which they were limited to one run in 27 innings. Chen struck out a season-high seven tonight. He's been a solid, reliable starter for the Orioles since arriving prior to 2012, but rarely has he been spectacular. This is the first time since May 12, 2013 that he's gone a start without allowing a run (and he pitched only five innings that game before suffering a strained oblique that sidelined him for nearly two months).
