Wednesday's MRI on Kelly's shoulder revealed no structural damage, but the Red Sox have yet to release a timetable for his return, Mike Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kelly was officially diagnosed with a shoulder impingement following Wednesday's MRI, but it's still too early for the team's medical staff to approximate a potential return date for the right-handed starter. His absence leaves the Red Sox in a lurch in terms of their rotation; however, the club won't need to fill Kelly's spot until Sunday. At this point, the early candidates to fill in for Kelly are Henry Owens, Roenis Elias, or Brian Johnson.
