Weaver (back) is scheduled to start for Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Loius Post-Dispatch reports.

Weaver hasn't pitched since June 11 due to the back issue, but it doesn't sound like the injury was anything the Cardinals ever viewed as significant. The minor setback shouldn't derail what has been an outstanding season for the 23-year-old, who maintains a 2.33 ERA and 51:9 K:BB over 46.1 innings for Memphis. Weaver could merit consideration for a rotation spot with the big club at some point during the second half.
