Weaver allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss against the Red Sox on Friday. He struck out three and walked two in the outing. Weaver looked sharp out of the gate Friday, as he didn't allow a run in his first two innings of work, but a three-spot from the Red Sox in the third followed by a mike Napoli home run in the fifth was enough to hand Weaver his seventh loss of the season. He will look to avoid the big inning when he takes a 3.68 ERA into a start against the Rangers on Friday.
