Weaver allowed five runs (including two home runs) on 10 hits while striking out two in a loss to the Giants on Sunday. Weaver has now allowed eight home runs in six starts this season, while permitting four or more runs in four of those outings. Weaver has lost more than three miles per hour on his average fastball since 2014, and while he has been a control pitcher for most of his career, he has yet to show success while dealing with such a large drop-off. He will look to turn things around in his next start against the Astros on Friday.
