Weaver (1-0) allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings, and earned the win Sunday against the Rangers.

EDGE Analysis

After dealing with a spring training neck injury, Weaver opened the season with an outstanding performance, and the only run he allowed was on a homer to rookie Nomar Mazara. The veteran comes into this season after having his ERA significantly rise in each of his previous four seasons, but he'll look to build off of his excellent outing. He'll make his next start Saturday at the Twins.
