Washington Nationals third baseman Yunel Escobar will not start Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates after being removed from Wednesday's game because of a wrist injury, according to the team's official website. X-rays taken on Escobar's wrist returned negative, and he is considered day-to-day.
