Wainwright posted a quality start in Thursday's outing against Boston, allowing two runs and seven hits in seven innings. He struck out seven batters, needing 122 pitches to record 21 outs. Wainwright has been up-and down recently, failing to pitch six innings in two of his last four starts, including a seven-run dud in his previous outing. After a huge workload last season (276.2 innings, including the playoffs), it's possible that Wainwright is tiring a bit. On the other hand, the heavy workload from last year could mean nothing. He's not someone you want to sit on the bench anyway. In any event, he'll look to put up another solid stat line in his next start at Miami.
