Wainwright allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) with five strikeouts and one walk over seven innings in Sunday's win over San Diego. Wainwright labored through the fifth and sixth innings, but was otherwise strong in the winning decision. Though his overall numbers remain excellent, Wainwright hasn't been nearly as dominant in the second half of the season, recording a 4.50 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 28:14 K:BB ratio in six starts (38 innings) since the All-Star break.
