EDGE Analysis
Wainwright didn't have his best stuff Monday, but kept his team in the game and earned his 10th win on the back of a St. Louis offensive onslaught that featured eight extra-base hits and four multi-run innings. Despite the win, Monday's start was a bit disappointing considering it came on the heels of a seven-inning, three-hit gem his last time out. Wainwright just hasn't been as sharp in his age-35 season, and is now sporting a career-high 4.61 ERA with less than a month left in the season. While he' still sporting a 3:1 K:BB ratio, opponents are hitting .282 off Wainwright this season, easily the highest rate of his career.
