Vogt underwent right elbow surgery Friday and is expected to be recovering for four to six weeks and be ready for opening day, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't known that there was an issue with Vogt's elbow since he had some trouble with it in the summer, but apparently something was bad enough that it required an arthroscopic procedure Friday. The 31-year-old backstop could miss the first week or two of spring training games, but it's promising to know that the front office think's he'll be ready by Opening Day. The situation is worth monitoring in case of any setbacks, however.
