EDGE Analysis
Vogt had been behind the plate for five of the Athletics' first six games of the season, and with lefty Martin Perez on the mound for the Rangers on Sunday, Oakland manager Bob Melvin decided it was an opportune time to rest the backstop. Josh Phegley will pick up his second start of the season and bat eighth in the order in place of Vogt.
