Vogt (foot) is expected to run the bases Friday or Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Now close to five months removed from foot surgery, Vogt has progressed to the point where he can run the bases, typically the final hurdle a player must clear before returning to game action. A's manager Bob Melvin said Vogt will get at-bats as the DH in spring games soon, assuming everything goes well with the baserunning.
