Vogt (ankle) won't be ready to go when the A's begin their homestand against the Rangers on Tuesday. A's manager Bob Melvin said about Vogt: "Yesterday he was a little bit sore, based on what they had him do the day before. But I said from the beginning this may be a while. I'm almost positive he won't be available the day we get back, and a lot of times with these type of things, there is one day that maybe gets you going in the right direction. He's not there yet." Vogt's inability to play, combined with injuries to John Jaso and Geovany Soto, are forcing Derek Norris to catch nearly game, and Norris is starting to break down. Vogt might return later in the week, but there's no guarantees.
