Vogt (ankle) could be available to pinch hit in a few days, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Manager Bob Melvin is now optimistic about Vogt's chances of being available off the bench at some point during the homestand, a day after saying simply that Vogt was "not there yet." It's uncertain, however, whether Vogt will be able to play the field at all over the remainder of the season.
