Victorino (hamstring) isn't expected to be activated from the 15-day DL until next week at the earliest, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. Victorino is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Friday at Double-A Portland, where he'll likely play at least two games before the Red Sox bring him back to the big club. There's some uncertainty as to whether Victorino will regain his starting right field job upon his return, as the Red Sox have received strong play from Brock Holt and have Rusney Castillo waiting in the wings at Triple-A Pawtucket.
