Vargas went 1-for-4 with a two-run double during Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Dating back to last season, Vargas owns a .507 slugging percentage with 13 doubles and 14 home runs through just 231 plate appearances, so there is plenty of power upside. He's also settled into the heart of the Minnesota lineup over the past six games and drove in seven runs. If Vargas can maintain -- or even improve on -- his current 25.9 strikeout percentage, he'll be a solid source of home runs and RBI going forward. It's probably wise to keep batting average expectations in check , though. His fantasy stock is on the rise.
