Vargas entered the game hitting just .208 with one extra-base hit in the early going, but ripped a pitch from Jason Vargas off the facing of the second deck in left field. Nonetheless, he doesn't show power like this often, and thus it's looking like Vargas will be a relatively low-end first-base option for fantasy purposes.
