The New York Mets have purchased the contract of pitcher Vance Worley from Kane County of the Independent League. He has not pitched in the MLB since the 2017 season. Worley posted a 4.01 ERA in five starts with Kane County this season. It sounds like Worley is going to head to Triple-A and serve as organizational depth. Possibly, Worley gets a spot start or two at some point, but he won't be a fantasy option.
