Valbuena has completed his rehab from a hamstring strain but he may not immediately return to the lineup, as the Mariners are trotting out lefty James Paxton on Tuesday. The expectation is that Valbuena will platoon with Jefry Marte (until C.J. Cron returns), with Valbuena starting at first base against right-handed pitching.
