An 0-for-4 showing Saturday has left Utley hitless over his last four games and 17 at-bats, dropping his season average to .119. The 36-year-old figures to come around eventually, so Sunday's benching should represent little more than a day off for him to clear his head. Cesar Hernandez will step into the lineup at second base in place of Utley.
